Which should be used to prepare the model for 3D printing in order to be as compatible as possible?

Files for 3D printing are usually prepared in a storage format that contains information about the geometry of the object and its properties. The most common file formats used in 3D printing are .step, .igs, .stl.

When preparing a file for 3D printing, it is important to ensure that the file format you choose is supported by the 3D printer that will be printing the model. Most 3D printers accept STL files, but it is always a good idea to send the file to us via our contact form to check that the file is saved correctly.
