In 3D printing, post-processing is the step of processing printed objects to improve the quality, appearance and functionality of the final product. Post-processing involves a variety of steps, depending on the printing technology, the materials used for the print and the expectations of the final product. The basic post-processing is the cleaning of the details after printing (removal of support structures or uncooked powder), colouring, smoothing, varnishing.
