PJ (Poly Jet) / Multi Jet Modelling (MJM)
What are the benefits of PJ / MJM?
Benefit #1
High resolution and dimensional accuracy of 3D printing thanks to the ultra-thin layer thickness (from 16 µm)
Benefit #2
Possibility to produce multi-material and multi-colored parts
Benefit #3
Material variety (from rubber-like materials to hard materials)
Benefit #4
Relatively easy post-processing - supporting structures removed with a water jet
Materials
-
Standard resin
-
Resins imitating the properties of engineering material: ABS-like, PP-like
-
Flexible resin
-
High-temperature resin
-
Super clear resin
-
Dental/medical resin
The most popular resin that is characterized by stiffness.
The mechanical properties of these resins are similar to those of ABS and PP.
Resin with properties similar to rubber.
Resin designed for applications operating at higher temperatures (up to 80 °C).
The material is designed for applications where high transparency is required. Possible further processing which allows for almost 100% transparency.
Resin used in medicine. It has a biocompatibility certificate.
Costs and Lead Time
What influences resin costs and lead time
- Part capacity
- Used material
- Used parameters (e.g. layer thickness)
- Bottom brackets - check other technologies without support
- Production series size
- Applied postprocessing - more information in postprocessing
- Choosing express execution options

Resin technologies design guidelines
With For PJ / MJM technology, we recommend that you follow these recommendations:
Minimum hole diameter 2 mm
Minimum wall thickness from 0.6 mm depending on the geometry
The access to areas with a bottom bracket should be secured in order to remove it
Positioning pins should be at least 2 mm thick/medium
